If you are thinking of coming, we invite you to enter our new contest. We invite entries that correspond to AEEE's role in bringing together researchers, teachers, teacher trainers and administrators of economics education in an international setting. To be eligible for consideration, your entry should cover a project that involves one or more of the following:
  • research with an explicitly international character, such as a comparison of curricula;
  • active collaboration between teachers, teacher trainers or administrators in different countries;
  • active collaboration between a researcher and a teacher, teacher trainer or administrator.

    • The winner will receive a waiver of the conference fee plus € 250 toward his or her accommodation cost. In case of a collaborative entry, the winning team will receive two fee waivers plus € 500 toward accommodation.
    If you win, you will be expected to attend the three-day conference, present your project there (in either a workshop or the standard 45-minute session) and submit an article about it, by October 30, for the inaugural issue of AEEE's new online journal.
    To enter, submit an abstract of between 450 and 700 words. The abstract should address the context and motivation for the project; its operation, procedure or methodology; results; and practical benefits for researchers, teachers or others in economics education.
    Projects will be judged primarily according to the extent of their innovation and usefulness.

    Send your abstract as a Word or PDF attachment to contest@economicseducation.eu. Include your name(s) and contact details in the e-mail but not in the attachment. The deadline for entries is June 15, 2023.

    Note: The contest will be a regular feature in future years. For this year, we recognize that it may be too late to initiate a qualifying project. If, however, you already have one underway or are able to quickly launch one, you should certainly submit an entry. Meanwhile, AEEE reserves the right not to award a prize if no entry sufficiently meets our judging criteria.
